Simple and delicious, also easy to make cream cheese dessert. This dessert is so good and will garner many complements. It is light and creamy with a mild maple flavor and not too sweet. Make it the night before and let it chill over night. This gives the flavors a chance to come out. It also cuts better when it is cold. I garnished the pie with candy walnuts because I had some left over from a salad I had made.
You will need to let the cream cheese come to room temperature. The maple flavor comes from real maple syrup. The 12 ounces of cream cheese is beaten together with the brown sugar and maple syrup until light and fluffy. The chopped walnuts are then added to the cheese mixture. The whipped topping is gently folded in. Spread in a 8 inch graham cracker crust top with additional whipped topping and chill. It takes about 15 minutes to make.
This is a dessert that anyone can make, It is also an ideal hostess gift to take to a Holiday party.

The filling was spectacular! Unfortunately, when I pulled it out of the fridge to cut and serve it the next day… I dropped it!!! It landed face down on the tile and the pyrex pie plate shattered. We only had a bite of the filling the night before. It was so good we’ll be making it again!!
OH!!!! I am gluten free, so I substituted Nate’s GF Ginger Cookies and made a cookie crumb crust. Was a great combo!
