This is a very quick cobbler that only takes one 15 ounce can of sliced peaches and a half a cup of baking mix (Bisquick.) The recipe makes three servings and bakes in 20 minutes. It is a wonderful weeknight dessert on a cold day. You serve it fresh out of the oven with a little whipped cream or milk. I happen to like milk on my cobbler. If you decide to try this you will fall in love with it. It was so good. I used almond extract because my vanilla is almost gone. Almond made it really yummy.
Peach Cobbler from Canned Peaches
Ingredients:
- I tablespoon corn starch
- 1 tablespoon cold water
- 1 can (15 ounces) sliced peaches undrained
- 1 tablespoon sugar ( if peaches are unsweetened)
- 1/2 cup baking mix (Bisquick)
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 tablespoons milk
Directions:
Preheat oven 400 degrees.
In a one quart baking dish mix corn starch and water until smooth. Add peaches with juice and stir. If unsweetened you can add a tablespoon of sugar. In a small bowl mix the rest of the ingredients and form a dough. Drop by rounded teaspoons on top of the peaches evenly. Bake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes until slightly brown on top. Serve immediately with whipped cream or milk. Makes 3 servings.
Oh! I’m going to have to try this! My favorite peach cobbler recipe uses canned peaches but makes a 9×13 pan. There is just 3 of us now & none of us need to be eating dessert for days. I’ll add canned peaches to my Shopping list this week. Thanks for your recipes.

I have a collection of small recipes and I plan to post more of them. It has taken time to find them and also cut down larger recipes to come out right. As I post them let me know if you like them. Thanks as always for your comments.

I love peach cobbler. This could be dangerous!

Yup it could be dangerous when you find a can of fruit in your cupboard calling out to you. You can use any fruit for this small recipe. Stop in any time and comment.

It is one of those recipes that you can use when you know you want something sweet but don’t want to mess up the kitchen to make it. Also there is no waste because it is a small batch recipe. Thanks for the comment.
P. S. The blog’s traffic doubled in Nov.

We love peach cobbler, but a typical recipe is too much for just the two of us. I came across this easy recipe for only 3 servings, which is perfect for us! Be sure to check out the recipes on her blog!

This is one recipe I have wanted/needed … in my back pocket! We have a wonderful farm/Peach Orchard here BUT when not in season or I’m looking at a pantry with canned peaches/fruit, minimal ingredients…this is the trick. Tasty, “that’s” what matters 😆😍

After you can up everything, then you have to figure out how to use it up. I know how that is. All that work and you don’t want to waste any of it. I canned over the holidays and just now have had time to catch up on my blog. I live in South Florida and it was late fall tomato season. I was given lots of produce this year to can. Thanks for your comment and sorry I missed this earlier.

Yes! Brings back memories of when I canned such a ridiculous amount of pears that it was impossible to use them. I was up till 2 am. Never did that much again. lol
