Pumpkin Pie Spice

I make my own pumpkin pie spice instead of buying it. It is much cheaper to make it and you can adjust the spices to your taste and needs.   I have a grandson that is allergic to nutmeg and cashews.  Commercial blends include nutmeg also I have included it in this recipe for you.  I leave it out.  Normally I don’t even use this spice blend in my pumpkin pies.  I only use ginger.  I do use this blend in many other recipes.

  1. Great recipe! I admit when I make a pumpkin pie or anything that calls for the spice I randomly sprinkle in cinnamon, nutmeg, clove and allspice. I usually feel guilty about not looking up a recipe and making a shaker of the mixed spices. Now I have no excuse! Thank you!

You can tweak it the way you like pie spice. This recipe is very basic. Thanks for your comment.
